Personal travel insurance is compulsory when volunteering in Africa. We advise you to choose one that includes repatriation to your home country in case of medical emergency.

Because we are not a travel agency, we cannot book your flight for you, you have to do it yourself. However, we are happy to help with any questions you may have.

The earlier the better! The projects have a limited amount of space available so the best thing to do is to enquiry a few months in advance, especially if you are interested in the months of July and August which are the busiest.

No previous volunteering experience is required. You just need to be at least 18, in good health, ready to do some physical work, have a team spirit and to be passionate about wildlife.

The projects selected need funds to subsist and carry out their actions. Your money will be divided between your accommodation, your food, your transportation and your supervision. The registration fees include administrative and marketing fees, ongoing support from Aventure Africaine, travel costs to visit and experience the projects.

Volunteering gives you the chance to travel to wonderful places at a reasonable price while being useful. It is the opportunity to live incredible and unique experiences. But above all, it is taking part in the conservation of an endangered nature.
