Terms and Conditions

Important notice:

Aventure Africaine is a consulting company for candidates applying to volunteering projects in Africa. It removes any liability regarding the stay of the volunteer.

It is exclusively paid for its counseling activity.

  1. The contract

All persons applying for a volunteering mission with Aventure Africaine must complete and sign the contract. In the case of minors the legal parents or legal guardian should sign. The person or persons who have signed the contract (or in the case of minors) are hereafter referred to as the clients and applicants. Upon signature the client agrees to be bound by these application conditions. 

  1. Payment / Acceptance of application

The signed and completed contract must be send to Aventure Africaine either by email or by post, 10 rue de la fontaine, Saint Rémy la Varenne, 49250 Brissac Loire Aubance, France.

If the balance of the programme fees is not paid on due date, Aventure Africaine reserves the right to disqualify the applicant. If an applicant applies 30 days or less before the start of the programme then the programme full price is payable at time of application.

  1. Cancellation / Change by client

Any notification of cancellation must be in writing, at least 30 days before the start of the project.

Please note the deposit is nonrefundable and that each project has its own cancellation policy.

4. Cancellation by Aventure Africaine

Aventure Africaine reserves the right to cancel any program including, but not limited to, if the country of destination is added to the country risk list of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In the event of a cancellation of the programme, the client may choose a complete refund of his/her subscription fees or may select another project that Aventure Africaine is in a position to offer.

5. Unused Services/Leaving Projects

In the event of a client failing to join a program, joining after departure, or leaving prior to completion, Aventure Africaine will accept no refunds or liability.

6. Information

The information in the brochures, circulars, leaflets and other documents issued by Aventure Africaine or its agents is given in good faith, and shall not form part of any contract between the client and Aventure Africaine. Aventure Africaine cannot therefore be held liable for its content.

7.Changes

Aventure Africaine does not accept any liability arising out of changes to itineraries, or any other matters relating to a program, due to factors outside its control.  These factors include wars, strikes, weather, political disputes, border closures, delayed flights etc.  Any expenses incurred by the client arising out of these changes are for their own account.

8. Travel Documents

All clients must be in possession of Insurance, a valid passport, together with any necessary visas or required vaccinations, and the client accepts full responsibility for obtaining the same.  Any information or advice given by Aventure Africaine or its agents with regard to the above is given in good faith, but Aventure Africaine can accept no responsibility for the information given.  Should a client be refused entry to any country due to incorrect or incomplete documentation, Aventure Africaine will not be held liable for any costs of such delays or repatriation costs for the client.

9. Authority on Project

The client accepts that at all times the decisions of the authorities will be final on all matters likely to endanger the safety and well-being of the client.

Aventure Africaine will not be held liable if the client does not comply with this obligation.

10. Unsuitability

During the programme, the coordinators of the project may disqualify the applicant if, but not limited to, he/she puts himself/herself or the others in danger, if he/she does not comply with the local laws, or he/she disturbs in any way the project.

In such circumstances, Aventure Africaine will not be liable to make any refund to the client, and no other liability by Aventure Africaine to the client will arise.

11. Limitation of Liability

The client understands that certain risks exist which is an inherent part of travel in Africa.The client undertakes all programmes and associated expeditions entirely at his/her own risk.  While Aventure Africaine takes every precaution to ensure the safety of clients, as it is a consulting company, no responsibility can be accepted for any death, injury or loss that might occur to such clients, sustained from any causes whatsoever.  The client and his/her dependents, heirs, executors, administrators or assigns, hereby indemnify and hold blameless, Aventure Africaine, its members, employees, representatives and agents from any claims of whatsoever nature and from any liability for delay, loss, damage, injury, illness or death arising from any cause whatsoever out of events related to or occurring during a program.

  1. Claims and complaints

If one or more clauses of the contract were to be declared null or inapplicable, the other clauses would retain their full force and scope.

This contract is subject to French law. Any dispute arising out of the contract shall be the subject of attempts at amicable settlement. If no amicable settlement is reached the proceedings will continue before the competent courts the Aventure Africaine’s head office depends on

13. Itinerary

 The detailed information given about the project is a guide as to what the volunteer will be doing at any one time he/she may do more or less however circumstances at the project dictate.

14. Insurance

It is compulsory for all clients to effect appropriate travel and cancellation insurance before commencing a programme. This insurance, which must be for the full duration of the programme must cover cancellation, curtailment, medical, emergency travel and personal accident.
